OLX, a market leader in online classifieds since its inception in 2006, unveiled its biggest global update, overhauling the entire app and web experience alongside showcasing a new brand identity.

OLX serves millions of customers around the world in more than 35 markets, and 50 languages. In an effort to showcase just how important the Pakistani market is to them, OLX is launching the new brand first in Pakistan. This means that users will experience the changes before anyone else around the world.

With this transition, OLX is hoping to expand beyond traditional classifieds by offering more end-to-end services and providing users with smarter buying and selling choices.

Bilal Bajwa, Country Manager, OLX Pakistan.

“This is our biggest platform upgrade with major changes to chat, posting, browsing and the social experience while reducing the size of the app by 40%”, said Bilal Bajwa, Country Manager, OLX Pakistan.

“All these changes are a result of us listening closely to our customers and innovating in areas that will improve the experience and delight them,” Bajwa says.

“The existing brand has served us well for the last 11 years,’’ said Ammar Hassan, Head of Marketing, OLX Pakistan, while talking about the brand image and the reasons behind the change in the brand’s logo and over all identity. Since OLX has transformed into a global name, with new potential collaborators, it was time for a change that was overdue, he said.
