Friday, 17th August 2018: KSBL gave a warm welcome to its upcoming batch of students for MBA and EMBA program on the auspicious occasion of the Orientation Ceremony, held on Thursday 16th August 2018.
In the opening session, Dr. Zeeshan (Dean, KSBL) briefed students about the KSBL’s code of conduct. He also gave an overview regarding the course program and other courses like Design Thinking, Business Analytics and Digital Entrepreneurship that are crucial for students to take to stand out in today’s advancing economy. Moreover, he acquainted students with the institute’s culture and core values.
Speaking on the occasion he said, “At KSBL we aim to create leaders. In the next upcoming years, you’ll experience transformation in your intellect and thinking. Apart from academics, you will also learn how to contribute to discussions, making decisions and exercise judgment in challenging situations. In these years we’ll be focusing on your character building and making your business acumen stronger, that will subsequently help you soar on your career ladder.”
Dr. Athar Siddiqui (Director, Degree Programs, KSBL) in his welcome note spoke about different aspects of KSBL. He congratulated everyone who got selected in the program. While discussing the importance of education and role of MBA he said, “Admission at KSBL is not a right; it is a privilege that needs to be earned with academic excellence and upholding the values of respect and exemplary character.”
Alumni Association shared its role and how the team members together help students in getting best career advice, internships, and jobs. Moreover, they also enumerated different training sessions and events that they conduct regarding resume building and improving interview skills and LinkedIn skills of students.
The event was concluded with dinner and campus tour, giving a chance for students to socialize with each other.
